Reliance Jio has announced ‘Happy New Year 2026’ prepaid recharge offers, introducing a range of plans with free access to unlimited 5G as well as OTT subscriptions, AI services, and data benefits. As part of the ‘Happy New Year 2026’ offering, Jio has launched three prepaid packs — the Hero Annual Recharge, the Super Celebration Monthly Plan, and a lower-priced Flexi pack. All three plans are now available through the Jio website, the MyJio app and other existing recharge channels.
The main offering, the Hero Annual Recharge pack, is priced at Rs 3,599. It comes with 12-month validity and is a long-term, all-in-one option. Subscribers get unlimited 5G access, 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSes per day. A major highlight is bundled access to a Google Gemini Pro subscription, which Jio says is worth over Rs 35,100. Jio has been offering this 18-month free subscription to its users for some time now.
For users looking at something short term, Jio has announced the Super Celebration Monthly Plan that will cost Rs 500 and have a validity of 28 days. This plan will also give users unlimited 5G and unlimited calls, along with 2GB internet per day. The pack includes a wide range of OTT subscriptions, making it one of Jio’s most content-heavy monthly plans so far. Bundled services include YouTube Premium, JioHotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, Sun NXT, FanCode, Hoichoi, and regional platforms such as Planet Marathi, Chaupal and Kanccha Lanka. The Gemini Pro subscription is also included here, making this plan attractive for users who value both entertainment and emerging AI tools.

At the entry level, Jio has launched the Flexi pack priced at Rs 103 for 28 days, making it the most affordable of the three. This plan offers 5GB of data per day, but Jio has not clearly stated whether unlimited calling or daily SMS benefits are included. Unlike the other two packs, the Flexi plan does not mention access to the Gemini Pro subscription. Users can choose one of the following entertainment packs:
- Hindi Pack: JioHotstar, ZEE5, Sony LIV
- International Pack: JioHotstar, FanCode, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+
- Regional Pack: JioHotstar, Sun NXT, Kanccha Lanka, Hoichoi
The introduction of these plans reflects how telecom operators are now competing on bundled value rather than just data pricing. Jio offering free AI services and OTT content matches the trend set by competition, such as Airtel’s recent free Perplexity services to their subscribers.
Jio users who excessively use data will find the annual plan to be economical. Subscribers who primarily consume OTT services and want to save money will find the plan costing Rs 500 per month attractive, while light users or those who have secondary SIM cards will find the Flexi pack attractive, though their calling benefits are unclear.
