Reliance Jio Rs 149 and Rs 98 prepaid plans are back to take on Airtel, Vodafone-Idea

“The Rs 98 and Rs 149 Jio plans are back as low-cost prepaid recharge packs that offer lesser data and shorter validity for consumers looking for affordable plans”

Reliance Jio has brought back its affordable Rs 149 and Rs 98 prepaid recharge plans. To recall, Jio revealed its new prepaid recharge plans last week following Airtel’s and Vodafone-Idea’s hiked tariff plans. The new Jio plans come with a price hike of up to 40 percent but with more benefits. These plans, however, started from Rs 199 and offered data benefits starting at 1.5GB/day. Now, Jio has re-launched two more affordable plans for its consumers to choose from. The Rs 98 and Rs 149 Jio plans are low-cost packs that offer lesser data and shorter validity. Notably, these plans look to offer more benefits compared to Airtel’s and Vodafone-Idea’s affordable recharge plans.

Jio Rs 149 prepaid recharge plan

The Rs 149 Jio recharge plan offers 1GB data per day for a period of 24 days. This means users will get a total of 24GB during the validity period. Additionally, the plans offers 100 SMS per day, unlimited Jio to Jio calls and 300 minutes of FUP calling to other networks. The recharge pack also gives subscribers access to Jio apps.

In comparison, Airtel’s new Rs 148 prepaid plans offers 2GB data for the entire 28 days validity period along with 300 SMS and unlimited calling. Vodafone-Idea’s Rs 149 prepaid recharge plan is similar to Airtel’s plan, offering 2GB data for the entire month, 300 SMS and unlimited voice calling with FUP.

Jio Rs 98 prepaid recharge plan

The more affordable Rs 98 recharge plan from Jio offers 2GB data for the whole month or 28 days to be precise. While the plan offers free Jio-to-Jio calls, customers will have to separately purchase the IUC talk time plans to make off net calls to other networks. The Rs 98 prepaid plan also gives 300 SMS for the month. Most of the benefits offered with this Jio Rs 98 plan can be found on the Rs 148 and Rs 149 recharge plans from Airtel and Vodafone-Idea, respectively.
