Samsung Neo QLED 8K, new OLED, premium TVs with Vision AI launching in India on May 7th

Samsung, after opening registration for its 2025 premium TVs with Vision AI last week, has announced the launch date as May 7th. The lineup will include more than 10 models, including new Samsung Neo QLED 8K, Samsung Neo QLED 4K, and other QLED (LCD) and OLED TVs. Samsung announced its 2025 series of QLED and OLED TVs in March and April. Let’s try to predict what we can expect based on those global models. Also, learn about the India launch offers below:

Samsung 2025 premium TVs in India

  • After the May 7th launch, the TVs could be retailing through leading online and offline platforms, including Samsung’s own outlets. 
  • The registration window for these Samsung TVs will stay open till May 6th, 2025
  • Samsung is teasing Rs 5,000 off and other offers for those who pre-register. 
  • Samsung is teasing Vision AI-powered TVs as the next big thing in televisions.

Samsung Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K 2025 (global)

  • Samsung Neo QLED 8K (QN990F) is the company’s flagship TV. It has a Mini LED panel powered by an NQ8 AI Gen3 processor. Its features include AI-based 8K Upscaling Pro, Wireless One Connect Box, Glare Free 2.0 for minimising reflections, and a 90W speaker with OTS Pro support. Globally, it starts at $5,499 (about Rs 4,60,000) for the 65-inch model.
  • The 2025 QLED lineup also consists of QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F.

Samsung’s OLED TVs for 2025 (global)

  • Samsung S95F is the flagship OLED model this year. It features an Infinity One “floating screen” design and Glare-Free 2.0 tech. It uses AI Gamma for deeper shadow detail and can hit up to 4,000 nits peak brightness in a 3 percent HDR window (briefly), or sustain 2,000 nits in a 10% HDR window. Typical brightness hovers around 350–400 nits. Key features include the NQ4 Gen 3 processor with AI 4K upscaling, 144Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium, and a 70W OTS+ audio system.
  • Other OLED releases this year include S90F and S85F.

What to expect from Vision AI

Samsung’s Vision AI brings a Click to Search button on the remote, which lets you instantly identify and learn more about on-screen items. The Live Translate feature offers real-time translated subtitles for foreign-language content. Generative Wallpaper lets users create custom wallpapers using prompts and use them as wallpapers for a digital art canvas. There are also recipe suggestions and grocery/takeaway tracking via Samsung Food.

Besides these, you also get 8K/4K Upscaling Pro to enhance low-resolution content, Auto HDR Remastering Pro to improve contrast, and Colour Booster Pro to deliver more vivid visuals. Additionally, the Vision AI can also adapt picture and sound quality based on ambient conditions.
