- Samsung Galaxy A3 Core could be a rebranded Galaxy A01 Core in some markets
- The names were spotted alongside each other on Google’s supported Android devices listing
- The Galaxy A01 Core is tipped to be an Android Go smartphone with an HD+ display
Samsung Galaxy A01 Core may launch as Samsung Galaxy A3 Core in some countries including India as the two names were spotted listed alongside each other with the same model number SM-A013G on Google’s supported Android devices listing. The Galaxy A01 Core has been in the news lately and is speculated to be an Android Go device with a single rear camera and an HD+ display. The reason we believe it will launch in India as the Galaxy A3 Core is because Samsung has already launched the Galaxy A2 Core in the country.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 Core is not the only smartphone A01 Core is associated with. A similar Google listing, initially caught by MySmartPrice, reveals that the Samsung Galaxy M01 Core is also in the works and may launch in some markets as a rebranded version of the Galaxy A01 Core.
Samsung Galaxy A01 Core specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core is expected to tout a polycarbonate body with a single rear camera with LED flash at the back. It’s speculated to ship with a 5.3-inch HD+ (720×1,480 pixels) PLS TFT display. Under the hood, the phone is tipped to be powered by an entry-level MT6739WW chipset coupled with a gigabyte of RAM. It’ll run a forked version of Android 10 out of the box, with support for YouTube Go, Google Go, and Gmail Go, and Samsung apps.
Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy A01 Core is expected to sport a micro USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack and a single speaker grille at the bottom edge. The handset will reportedly feature 16GB onboard storage, 8MP primary camera, and a 5MP selfie shooter. The handset is said to be driven by a 3,000mAh removable battery. Furthermore, it’ll come in red and blue colour options. There is no word yet on Samsung Galaxy A01 Core or Galaxy A03 Core price in India, but the entry-level Android Go smartphone is not expected to be priced higher than Rs 6,000.
