Samsung Galaxy A10e with model number SM-A102U bags Bluetooth SIG, Wi-Fi Alliance certifications

The Samsung Galaxy A10e upcoming smartphone is likely to be the more affordable variant of the Samsung Galaxy A10″

Samsung launched its much-anticipated Galaxy A series (2019) smartphones –  Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30 (first impression), and Galaxy A50 (first impression) in India in February. The base Samsung Galaxy A10 variant was priced at Rs 8,490 and flaunts an Infinity V display as its USP. However, it seems that the company is working on a new, more affordable variant of the smartphone, which could be called Samsung Galaxy A10e. The upcoming smartphone, with model number SM-A102U, has now been spotted on the websites of Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance.

The Bluetooth SIG certification reveals that the upcoming smartphone will come with the latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard. Similarly, the Wi-Fi Alliance listing confirms the presence of dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Unfortunately, apart from these details, information regarding the upcoming handset, purportedly being called Samsung Galaxy A10e, are scarce at the moment. Notably, the South Korean brand launched the Galaxy A20e as the cheaper alternative to the Galaxy A20 with a watered-down spec sheet and we can expect the same from the Galaxy A10e.

Powering the smartphone is the Exynos 7884 octa-core chipset ticking at its core. Samsung has paired the processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB expandable storage. In the camera department, the Galaxy A10 is bestowed with a 13-megapixel camera at the back and 5-megapixel shooter up front for selfies. The smartphone boots One UI based on the Android 9 Pie and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery.

As of now, there is no word on when the chaebol will release the Samsung Galaxy A10e. But subsequent listings on two major certification websites hint that the launch is imminent. Stay tuned to 91mobiles to get updates whenever the phone goes official.
