Samsung Galaxy A10s gets Wi-Fi certification; launch seems imminent

While the Galaxy A90 and Galaxy Note10 are in the pipeline, Samsung also seems to be working on a budget Galaxy A10s smartphone. The upcoming affordable smartphone from the brand has been doing the rounds of the internet quite a bit lately. A few days ago, the phone was spotted on FCC certification website with model number SM-A107F, spilling beans on some of its specifications. Now, the same model has surfaced on the Wi-Fi certification authority. It’s believed that the mysterious handset could be an upgrade of Galaxy A10 and land with Galaxy A10s moniker in the market.

The ‘DS’ on the Galaxy A10s model number in Wi-Fi Alliance certification stands for dual SIM. Moreover, it reveals that the handset will run Android 9 Pie and support single-band Wi-Fi frequency (2.4GHz band). That’s all the Wi-Fi listing shares with us.

Going by the previous leak, the Galaxy A10s could come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which the regular Galaxy A10 lacks. The handset is also expected to ship with a 3,900mAh battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a dual-rear camera setup. Unfortunately, we neither have the camera sensor details nor do we know the screen size, RAM, storage, and other specifications of the Galaxy A10s smartphone at the moment.

Since the Galaxy A10s has been certified by two prominent authorities, we may expect its launch soon. The handset will most likely be an incremental upgrade of the Galaxy A10 smartphone. For those unaware, the latter was launched in India earlier this year, with 6.2-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-notch up top, Exynos 7884 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB expandable storage. In optics, the phone rocks a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. The entire setup is run by a 3,400mAh battery, while Android 9 Pie-based One UI takes care of software side of things. The Galaxy A10 is currently available in major e-commerce stores at a starting price of Rs 7,990.
