Samsung has quietly unveiled its latest A-series smartphone for 2020, the Samsung Galaxy A11. The device sits right at the bottom of the Galaxy A portfolio of smartphones and has been listed on its global site along with its official press renders and specifications. While this reveals everything we can expect from it in terms of features, the listing does not reveal when would the Galaxy A11 be available in specific markets, and what it might be priced at.

In terms of the key specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A11 features a 6.4-inch, HD+ display with Infinity-O layout, meaning that it has a punch-hole to house the front camera. The listing says that the device is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, but does not reveal the exact make of the processor. This is further paired with two variants — 2GB or 3GB of RAM, both with 32GB native storage and up to 512GB microSD support. According to Samsung’s listing, the Galaxy A11 will feature both face and fingerprint unlocking in terms of biometric authentication.
To the rear, the smartphone features a triple camera setup, stacked vertically and placed at the top left corner, beside the centrally located physical fingerprint scanner. As for the exact camera specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A11 features a 13-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.8 lens, a 2-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture (presumably for depth assistance), and a third, 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 lens that may be for macro mode or ultra-wide angle photographs. As is evident from its specifications and the name, the Galaxy A11 will be a budget smartphone, and will likely overlap with the Galaxy M series devices in terms of its market positioning. Samsung has so far not clarified whether the Galaxy A11 will be launched in India. The company has already launched the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 in India as its new A-series phones for 2020, and by the looks of it, the Galaxy A11 should join the league soon.
