
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G launch could be inching close as the handset has been appearing on the web quite frequently of late. It had already bagged Wi-Fi Alliance and TUV Rheinland certifications and was spotted on Geekbench. Now, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has appeared on Google Play Console and Google Supported Devices list with the model number SM-A226B, revealing some key specifications. Interestingly, the Google Play Console listing has a render of the phone that reveals its front design. Samsung Galaxy A22 5G has a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper and sizeable bezels. The volume rocker is on the right spine.

According to the Google Play Console listing, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specifications may include MT6833V/NZA (i.e MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC), Android 11 OS, FHD+ display with 1,080 X 2,009 pixels resolution, and 4GB RAM, but there could be other variants at launch. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much everything that is revealed from the Google Play Console and Supported Devices listing.

Previously, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G TUV Rheinland certification revealed it will come with 15W (up to 9V, 1.67A input) fast-charging support. The alleged renders revealed the phone will have a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper, a square-camera module that may have at least triple sensors, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G could sport a 6.5-inch display, a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens, and a 2MP third sensor. It could have a 13MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone may measure 167.2×76.4×8.7mm and connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
