“Our take on Samsung’s latest affordable smartphone – the Galaxy A30s”

We recently reviewed the Samsung Galaxy A50s which put forth a compelling package in the affordable segment. Now, the brand has launched the A30s, which comes as the successor to the A30 and retails in the mid-range. To see if it warrants a buy over devices from Redmi, Vivo and Realme’s stables, read on.

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy A30s retails for Rs 16,999 and therein lies the problem.

You see, despite being a well-rounded offering, the handset pales in comparison to the competition, the likes of which include Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Vivo Z1 Pro. These phones are priced similarly, but offer better bang for the buck, scoring high on aspects like pure performance and camera quality. Correspondingly, unless you’re an ardent Samsung fan, you can give the Galaxy A30s a pass.
