Samsung Galaxy A42 is the company’s latest 5G offering. The handset was introduced back in September and the complete specifications were detailed last week. Now, the South Korean giant has revealed the UK pricing and availability of the Galaxy A42. The handset ships with the latest Snapdragon 750G SoC, a Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with narrow bezels 48MP quad-cameras at the back and a 5,000mAh battery. However, Samsung hasn’t detailed availability of the Galaxy A42 in other markets.

The phone will be on sale from November 6th and it carries a tag of £349 (approx Rs 33,000), thereby making it one of the cheapest 5G phones on the market. The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will be available in Prism Dot Black, White and Gray colour options.

Samsung Galaxy A42 flaunts a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with narrow bezels. The phone will arrive in three RAM models — 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM paired with 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 10 OS with OneUI custom skin on top. The Galaxy A42 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
As for the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A42 has quad-cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. There is a 20MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. The Galaxy A42 measures 75.9mm X 164.4mm X 8.6mm and weighs 190 grams.
