Samsung Galaxy A42 5G specifications
Samsung Galaxy A42 sports a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with narrow bezels. While the company hasn’t revealed the chipset name, based on the core configuration and clock speeds, it seems to be the Snapdragon 750G SoC, which corresponds with a Geekbench listing. The phone arrives in three RAM models — 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM paired with 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone should run on Android 10 OS with OneUI custom skin on top or perhaps Android 11 since it is set to release later this year. The Galaxy A42 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W charging.
Moving to the optics, the Samsung Galaxy A42 has quad-cameras at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. There is a 20MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. The Galaxy A42 has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and measures 75.9mm X 164.4mm X 8.6mm and weighs 190 grams.
