“Samsung Galaxy A51 will be a successor of the Galaxy A50s smartphone, which was launched last month”
Samsung is believed to be working on a bunch of new Galaxy A series phones, including the Galaxy A51. The handsets will reportedly launch next year, but an industry source has informed 91mobiles that Samsung Galaxy A51 production has already started in India. The phone is being produced at Samsung’s facility in Greater Noida, UP. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information on the specifications yet but can tell you that the Galaxy A51 will be a mid-range offering. The handset will be a follow-up of the Galaxy A50s smartphone, which was launched in September in India.
Going by the previous leaks and rumours, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is expected to come pre-loaded with Android 10 out of the box. The software will, of course, have Samsung’s custom skin atop, and we believe it will be the latest One UI 2.0 that recently showcased at the company’s developer conference 2019. The phone will reportedly rock the same Exynos 9611 SoC as its predecessor. The chipset is based on a 10nm FinFET process, offers 2.3GHz clock speed, and is aided by a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
Samsung may ship the Galaxy A51 with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB storage onboard. As for the cameras, the handset is tipped to feature quad-camera setup at the back with 32-megapixel primary sensor paired with 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 5-megapixel depth-sensing unit. Lastly, the Galaxy A51 is tipped to arrive in silver, black, and blue colour options.
There is no word on the Samsung Galaxy A51 launch timeline in India yet, but we expect it to be in the first quarter of 2020. The handset will most likely be priced above Rs 20,000 and available for sale via both offline and online channels across the country. Stay tuned to 91mobiles for more updates!
