“The Galaxy A7 2018 is expected to come with an Infinity display and dual selfie cameras”
The Samsung Galaxy A7’s 2018 variant has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. In July, the phone was spotted on the benchmarking website GFXBench, which revealed a few of its specifications. Also, just last week, the handset’s alleged renders hit the interwebs, which revealed that the phone will feature an Infinity display and a dual camera setup on the front. Now, the alleged Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 has been spotted on another benchmarking website, Geekbench.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 has been found listed on Geekbench with the codename SM-A730F. The listing reveals that the phone will be powered by an octa-core processor featuring a clock speed of 1.59GHz, which is expected to be an Exynos SoC. The phone will pack in a massive 6GB of RAM under the hood. The device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and is expected to receive the Android Oreo update as well. The single-core performance of the phone is listed 1,490, while the multi-core score is 4,172.
Unfortunately, the listing on Geekbench didn’t reveal anything else about the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018. As per the earlier leaks, the Galaxy A7 2018 will feature a metallic frame and a layer of protective glass at both the front and rear. The device will come with a 6-inch full HD+ Infinity display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9.
The leaked renders revealed that the Galaxy A7’s 2018 iteration will have a fingerprint sensor, which will be placed below the primary camera. It is expected to be the brand’s first phone to feature two cameras on the front. The device is expected to come with IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, a USB Type-C port, Samsung Pay support and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 is also expected to come with a dedicated button for the brand’s Bixby digital assistant. That’s all that is rumoured about the phone at the moment. The company is expected to officially unveil the handset at some point in December this year.
