“The 2018 variants of the Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9 prices in India start at Rs 18,990 and Rs 33,990, respectively”
Last year, Samsung released its latest Galaxy A series smartphones called the Galaxy A7 (2018) (review) and Galaxy A9 (2018) (review) in the Indian market. The Galaxy A7 (2018) arrived in September at a starting price of Rs 23,990, but soon after the launch, its price was dropped by up to Rs 3,000. Now, the company has reduced the pricing of the new Galaxy A7 once again by Rs 3,000. In addition, the South Korean tech giant’s first four rear camera-toting smartphone, the Galaxy A9 (2018), has also received a price drop of Rs 3,000 in the country.
Retail sources have informed 91mobiles that the 2018 Samsung Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9 are now available at the reduced pricing via major brick-and-mortar stores across the country. The Galaxy A7’s 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is now being sold for Rs 18,990, while its higher-end 6GB RAM + 128GB is retailing for Rs 22,990. As for the Galaxy A9, the phone’s 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants are now available for Rs 33,990 and Rs 36,990, respectively. Earlier, these models had Rs 36,990 and Rs 39,990 as the respective price tags.
To recap the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) sports a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display, and boots Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Exynos 7885 SoC, aided by a 3,300mAh battery that supports fast charging. At the rear, the handset has three cameras comprising of a 24-megapixel main sensor, an 8MP secondary shooter, and a 5-megapixel third snapper. For selfies, there’s a 24-megapixel camera on the front with an LED flash unit.
Talking about the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), the phone flaunts a four-camera module at the rear that consists of a 24-megapixel main snapper, a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 5-megapixel depth camera. On the front, there’s a 24-megapixel camera with HDR. As for the other specs, the Galaxy A9 (2018) gets a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Powering the handset is a Snapdragon 660 SoC. The other specs include Android Oreo, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3,800mAh fast charging battery.
