Samsung Galaxy A80 high-end smartphone has finally been launched in India. The phone was expected to land in the country last month, but it didn’t happen. The Samsung Galaxy A80 has been launched in India three months after it’s unveiling in Thailand in April. The handset is the world’s first smartphone with a triple rotating 48MP camera setup. The Samsung Galaxy A80 camera module slides up from the back and rotates to let you capture selfies and make video calls. Notably, it is also the South Korean tech giant’s first smartphone sport a truly bezel-less display, with no notch or punch-hole.
Samsung Galaxy A80 price in India
The Samsung Galaxy A80 price in India has been set at on the higher-end of the spectrum at Rs 47,990. The smartphone will be available to pre-book from July 22nd to July 31st. The handset will go on sale from August 1st via Samsung e-store and major e-commerce portals, and in Samsung Opera House store and other leading retail stores across the country. The phone will be available in three colour variants – Ghost White, Phantom Black, and Angel Gold.
Samsung Galaxy A80 specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A80 features thin bezels on top and the two side, and a slim chin. The handset is also equipped with an under-display fingerprint sensor. The device has a 6.7-inch full HD+ Infinity Super AMOLED display, and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC. The phone is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Software-wise, the device boots Android 9 Pie with the brand’s One UI.
In the imaging department, the Galaxy A80 has a 48MP f/2.0 primary camera at the back, aided by an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide mode, and a 3D ToF depth camera. The handset supports features like 4K UHD video recording, Super Steady Mode, Night Mode, among others. The connectivity options are regular, while a 3,700mAh battery with 25W Super Fast charging support keeps the whole package running.
