Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) price in India revealed via official website code

“Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) price in India could be Rs 39,000, making the five-camera toting smartphone a rival to the new OnePlus 6T”

The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) with four rear cameras is expected to launch in India pretty soon as the company has already listed it on the official website. Now, the website code has revealed what could be the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) price in India. The leaked pricing shows the upcoming Samsung smartphone will be pitted squarely against the new OnePlus 6T smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Price

Samsung’s official India website reveals that the Galaxy A9 (2018) smartphone will carry a price tag of Rs 39,000. The smartphone was unveiled with a European pricing of €599, which translates to about Rs 50,000. Taking into account savings from local manufacturing and the relative price differences between European and Indian markets on smartphones, the Rs 39,000 price tag could be plausible. However, there is a chance that this amount could be the maximum smartphone exchange value that Samsung will offer on the Galaxy A9 (2018) instead.

To recall, 91mobiles exclusively reported last week that the smartphone has been listed on the official India website. The company has also set up a registration page for the handset to receive updates about the launch. Samsung, on its part, has not made any announcement regarding the India launch date of the Galaxy A9 (2018) yet. Moving on to the specifications, Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) sports four cameras on the back, with sensors of 24MP + 10MP + 8MP + 5MP resolutions. The quad-camera setup utilises an ultra-wide camera, a telephoto lens, and a depth sensor to produce the best possible images. For selfies, the company has fitted the handset with a 24-megapixel shooter on the front. The device’s camera app is loaded with features like customisable Live Focus, an AI-based scene optimiser, AR emojis, and more.

As far as the other specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A9 has a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with minimal bezels. The phone is powered by an octa-core processor of unknown make. In Malaysia, the handset comes in two RAM and storage configurations – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. However, the India listing page only mentions the 6GB RAM variant, and says “8GB RAM option available in certain countries.” This suggests the smartphone may come with 6GB of RAM, at least initially.

Software-wise, the Galaxy A9 boots Android Oreo with Samsung’s Experience UI on top. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and A-GPS. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is available for security on board. Lastly, a 3,800mAh battery with fast charging support keeps the whole package alive.
