“Samsung Galaxy A90 5G retail box live image reveals that the phone might feature a massive 6.7-inch display”
Samsung Galaxy A90 5G smartphone’s retail box has been leaked online just a couple of days after an official-looking render made its way to the internet. The design shown on the retail box is similar to what we saw a couple of days ago; more importantly, the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G specifications have also been revealed thanks to the retail box. Among the highlights are a rather massive 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display and a triple camera setup at the rear, both specifications in line with earlier leaks. If you have not been in touch with tech news, the Galaxy A90 5G has been part of leaks and rumours going back a couple of months.
Coming back to the new leak, the images in question show the retail box of the upcoming handset from Samsung and it is hard to miss the 5G branding in large font upfront. First talking about the design, the Galaxy A90 5G can be seen flaunting a glossy back and metallic frame in the live image. The volume rocker and the power button can be seen on the right side of the handset and the triple camera setup at the rear can be seen on the top left side. At the front, the bezels seem minimal but there is an Infinity-U notch that houses a selfie camera.
Samsung Galaxy A90 5G specifications
Moving to the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G specifications revealed by the retail box, the handset will allegedly be shipping with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display and be powered by an octa-core processor (unknown make), coupled with 6GB of RAM. The retail box shows 128GB of built-in storage but there can be other configurations made available on release as well. In terms of optics, the rear-facing triple camera module consists of 48MP + 5MP + 8MP camera sensors, which was also suggested earlier by @onleaks. For selfies, there is a 32MP sensor included at the front. The image also suggests that the handset will also feature support for 25W fast-charging.
The leaks thus far have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G will feature the Snapdragon 855 chipset. Although the live images do not show a fingerprint sensor, Samsung will most likely include an ultrasonic fingerprint reader underneath the display. As far as colour options go, we can see the white paint job on the retail box but we will have to wait for the official announcement for other options. Software-wise, the Galaxy A90 5G is expected to boot Android 9 Pie out of the box with the brand’s One UI on top and could be one of the first Samsung phones to get the Android Q update after the launch.
As of now, we do not have a launch date for the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G but as the leaks are coming in thick and fast, the unveiling should be right around the corner.
