Samsung Galaxy A90s battery capacity may be 4,200mAh, reveals certification site

Samsung Galaxy A90s seems to be in the works as the handset’s battery details along with an image of the battery made an appearance on the SafetyKorea certification site. This listing reveals the Samsung Galaxy A90s will have the model number SM-A907F and will feature what looks like a 4,200mAh battery (model number EB-BA907ABYL). The handset should be a successor to the Galaxy A90 5G that was launched back in September. An earlier report claimed that the Samsung Galaxy A90s (SM-A907F) will arrive with 128GB internal storage and will be available in black and white colours. The Samsung Galaxy A90 came with 5G support right out of the box, so it’s possible the A90s could also arrive as yet another affordable 5G smartphone.

Though a specific launch date (or even the specifications) isn’t out yet. However, given that Samsung has been keeping itself busy in the second half of the year by launching updated versions of A series phones that it unveiled in the first half of 2019, there’s a good chance the Samsung Galaxy A90s might see the light in the day before the end of this year or early 2020. Unfortunately, nothing else has been revealed about the Samsung Galaxy A90s at this point, but we hope to come across more details soon.

Samsung Galaxy A90 specifications

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A90 flaunts a 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. The handset ships in two variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with One UI custom skin. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

Moving to the optics, the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary (f/2.0) sensor, an 8MP secondary ultra-wide-angle lens with 123-degree field of view and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 32MP sensor for selfies and video chats. The handset measures 164.8 x 76.4 x 8.4 mm and weighs 206 grams. Connectivity options include 5G connectivity, Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and USB Type-C port. A 4500mAh battery with 25W superfast charging support fuels the phone.
