Samsung Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion have officially been unveiled at the Samsung Developer Conference 2019 (SDC19). The former comes with built-in S-Pen stylus support with new gesture controls. It packs a 360-degree hinge that allows it to be used as a PC or as a tablet. On the other hand, the Galaxy Book Ion flaunts a magnesium clamshell frame and ultra-thin design which measures just 12.9/14.9mm in thickness and weighs less than a kilogram. Both the machines come with built-in Windows Hello biometric security and wireless PowerShare feature that can charge Qi-compatible smartphones, Galaxy Buds and others.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex comes in two models, 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch full-HD QLED display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 10-point multi-touch display. It is powered by the 10th generation Intel Core processor with Intel Iris Plus graphics or Intel UHD Graphics, 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (on the 15-inch model). It packs up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 1TB SSD (NVMe) storage. It runs on Windows 10 Home/Pro.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex packs a 720P HD camera and Dual Array Mic. It comes with Windows Hello sign-in with fingerprint, built-in S Pen, AKG Stereo Speakers with Smart Amp. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, 802.11 ax 2×2, Bluetooth v 5.0, Thunderbolt 3 (2), USB-C, HP/Mic. It has a 69.7Wh battery with Wireless PowerShare support.

Samsung Galaxy Book Ion specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Book Ion also comes in two variants; the 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch full HD QLED display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The laptop is powered by the 10th gen Intel Core Processor (Comet Lake) with Intel UHD Graphics, 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU (on the 15-inch variant) for gaming sessions. The Galaxy Book Ion packs up to 16GB LPDDR4 RAM +1 Sodimm 9 (15-inch) and up to 1TB SSD (NVMe) storage, 1 SSD expandable slot (on the 15-inch) UFS/MicroSD Combo. It runs on Window 10 Home/Pro.
