Samsung Galaxy F42 5G specs on Google Play Console
The Google Play Console listing spotted by Twitter user Tamilan Technical reveals key Samsung Galaxy F42 5G specifications. The listing shows that the new device will come with an FHD+ display and will be powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset from MediaTek. The Dimensity 700 SoC (MT6833V/NZA) is a 5G capable processor and is a popular pick in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment in India. The variant that surfaced on Google Play Console had 6GB of RAM and was running on Android 11.
The listing also included a reference picture that gives us an insight into the design. A waterdrop notch on top and a thick chin flanks the display on the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G. There will also be a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. Speculations on this device suggest that this could be a rebranded version of the existing Samsung Galaxy A22 5G smartphone. If that is true, then the device specifications will be very similar to the Galaxy A22 5G. The Galaxy F42 5G may draw current from a 5000 mAh battery and charge at 15W just like the Galaxy A22 5G smartphone.
