“Samsung Galaxy Fit e-packs a 0.74-inch PMOLED screen, runs on Realtime OS, and is water-resistant”
Ahead of the MWC 2019 show, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Fit and Fit e fitness trackers. As the name suggests, these can track your walk, run, bike, row, hop, and other activities. Now, four months after the announcement, a Flipkart listing suggests that the South-Korean giant seems to be gearing up to launch the same in India soon. Though the listing doesn’t reveal a name or other details, the design suggests it could be the Galaxy Fit e. However, there’s no exact launch date yet, and it isn’t clear if Samsung would also launch the regular Galaxy Fit alongside. We should know more details in the next few weeks, if not days.
The Galaxy Fit e enables users to manually select from more than 90 different activities through the Samsung Health app. There’s also ‘enhanced’ sleep analysis and stress management allowing you to monitor your wellbeing. In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Fit e-packs a 0.74-inch PMOLED screen with 64 x 128-pixel resolution and equipped with Realtime OS. It is compatible with smartphones running Android 5.0 or higher and iOS 9.0 or above. The wearable is water resistant for up to 50 meters and also offers MIL-STD 810G durability. It is powered by the MCU Cortex MO 96MHz and packs 70mAh battery that supports Pogo charging.
The Galaxy Fit e offers Bluetooth connectivity and sensors on board include HRM and Accelerometer. Users can also connect their smartphones and get alerts on the band. It measures 16 x 40.2 x 10.9 and weighs 15g. The Galaxy Fit e comes in Black, White, and Yellow colours. We should know the pricing and availability details in the coming few weeks.
