Samsung has expanded its range of Galaxy J series smartphones in India with the launch of the Galaxy J1 (4G). It is a budget Android offering with VoLTE support, S Bike Mode, Ultra Data Saving mode, and S Power Planning. The phone has a metal frame and a plastic back panel, which is removable and gives you access to the SIM card and microSD card slots.


Coming to the other features, the Samsung Galaxy J1 (4G) features a compact 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7727SE processor, mated to 1GB of RAM and Mali 400 graphics. It comes with 8GB of internal memory, further expandable via a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 (4G) comes with a 5-megapixel autofocus primary shooter with an LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and HD video recording support. For selfies and video calling, it gets a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.2 aperture. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. A 2,050mAh battery keeps the whole package running.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 (4G) has been priced at Rs 6,890. It will be available via major brick-and-mortar retail stores across the country in gold, black, and white hues.
