“The Galaxy J4 Prime and Galaxy J6 Prime are expected to launch in Vietnam and the Netherlands soon”
After the launch of Galaxy J2 Core (first impression) last week, Samsung looks to roll-out more budget smartphones under its J-series shortly. Two smartphones with model numbers SM-J425F/DS and SM-J610F/DS have made their appearance on Samsung’s Vietnamese portal. It’s likely that the models could be none other than the all-new Galaxy J4 Prime and the Galaxy J6 Prime devices, as per a report by the Dutch blog GalaxyClub.nl.
Although the listing hasn’t revealed anything substantial, it did mention that both smartphones will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, and get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC ticking at its core. While there’re no details about the launch date of Galaxy J4 Prime and J6 Prime right now, it’s said that the handsets will be first made available in Vietnam and the Netherlands.
The specifications of the smartphones are unknown at the moment; however, we expect them to be a tad better than their siblings — the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 (review). To recall, the Galaxy J4 comes with 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED panel and employs Exynos 7570 SoC aided by up to 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. For photography, it gets a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. A 3,000mAh battery completes the specs sheet of the smartphone.
The Galaxy J6, on the other hand, flaunts a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED panel. The phone is powered by Exynos 7870 SoC, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB onboard storage. For photography, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor and an 8-megapixel selfie sensor.
