“The 4GB RAM variant of the Galaxy J6 has received a price cut of Rs 500”
Samsung on Monday slashed the price of the high-end variant of its mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy J6 (review). After the price cut, the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model of the phone will retail at Rs 15,990 down from its sticker price of Rs 16,490. Apart from the 4GB RAM version, the J6 is also available in 3GB RAM option, which continues to carry a price tag of Rs 13,990.
The price cut of Galaxy J6 is visible on Samsung’s official online store. It was first spotted by popular Mumbai-based smartphone retailer, Mahesh Telecom. Moreover, the Korean company is running a few offers that further brings down the total cost of the smartphone. Potential buyers can purchase both the variants of Galaxy J6 at a discount of Rs 1,500 with the use of ICICI debit and credit cards.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy J6 was launched in the country alongside the Galaxy A6 and A6+ (review), back in May. One of the major highlights of the handset is its Infinity Display, which measures 5.6-inches diagonally and offers a resolution of 1,480 × 720 pixels with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy J6 houses an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC. On the camera front, the handset sports a 13-megapixel sensor on the rear panel and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, both of which come with LED flash modules. The handset runs Android Oreo-based Samsung’s Experience UI. The other features of the Galaxy J6 include a dedicated microSD card slot to add up to 256GB storage and support for connectivity options like dual-SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
