Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and J7 Pro receive permanent price cuts, now available starting Rs 14,990

Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Pro (review) and Galaxy J7 Max (first impressions) together in June last year at a price tag of Rs 20,900 and Rs 17,900 respectively. Now, the brand has introduced permanent price cuts for both handsets, Rs 2,000 for the J7 Pro and Rs 3,000 for the J7 Max. This has brought the price of Galaxy J7 Pro down to Rs 18,900, while J7 Max now retails for Rs 14,900 now. The new prices of the handsets have already gone live across retail channels in India.

Speaking of the Galaxy J7 Pro first, it ships with an always-on 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 processor. The processor of the handset has been clocked at 1.6GHz and mated to 3GB of RAM. There is 64GB storage onboard, which can be further expanded by inserting a microSD card. In the imaging department, the phone gets 13-megapixel cameras on both the front and back. A beefy 3,600mAh battery completes the spec sheet of the device.

Moving on to the Galaxy J7 Max, the handset comes with a larger 5.7-inch full HD TFT display. The performance of the handset is handled by a 1.6GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6757V processor. Samsung has mated the processor to 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage, which can be further expanded. Just like the Galaxy J7 Pro, the J7 Max also gets 13-megapixel shooters on both front and rear panels. There is a smaller 3,300mAh battery powering the device.

Samsung is offering both Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max in two hues – black and gold. The smartphones can be picked up for the revised prices from Flipkart and Amazon.
