Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 with 13MP selfie camera goes on sale in India for Rs 13,990

Samsung has expanded its range of Galaxy J series smartphones in India by launching the Galaxy J7 Prime 2 in the country. The smartphone comes as a slightly upgraded variant of the Galaxy J7 Prime, which was launched in the country in 2016.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 features a 5.5-inch PLS TFT LCD display bearing a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, which is likely to be the Exynos 7870 that powers its predecessor. The handset comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which can be further increased by up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

The Galaxy J7 Prime 2 sports a 13-megapixel primary snapper at the rear with f/1.9 aperture, an LED flash, and support for Visual Search feature through Samsung Mall. On the front, the phone sports a 13-megapixel shooter with support for AR stickers and filters, instant share, and instant editing. Software-wise, the handset boots Android Nougat and comes with Samsung Pay Mini for digital payments. A 3,300mAh battery keeps the phone running. The handset also comes with a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded into its home button at front. 

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 has been priced at Rs 13,990 and comes in black and champagne gold colours. The phone is available via Samsung’s retail outlets across the country.
