“The Samsung Galaxy M series smartphones will be aggressively priced and are expected to feature a beefy battery with quick charge support”
Samsung Galaxy M-series has been doing the rounds in the rumour mill for quite some time now. The lineup will reportedly replace the affordable Galaxy J-series and Galaxy On-series and up to four models are expected in the first couple of months. All the variants have been leaked incessantly over the past few weeks. Now, Samsung has gone ahead and confirmed the launch date of Galaxy M series in India as January 28th. This will be the global unveiling of the phones.
The vendor hasn’t revealed other details about the offerings, but a report by Reuters claims that the Galaxy M series will retail exclusively on Samsung’s e-commerce site and Amazon.in. Asim Warsi, head of Samsung’s Indian mobile business, told the news agency that the handsets will be priced from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 — depending on the models. Rumours have it that there are going to be four models — allegedly dubbed as Galaxy M10, M20, M30, and M40; however, this report mention only three. Warsi further revealed that all the models of the M-series will carry a beefy battery and features such as quick charging.

The Galaxy M-series smartphones are expected to flaunt Infinity V display with a slight cut-out up top to house selfie camera. The Galaxy M20 is most likely to sport a 6.4-inch IPS panel and an impressive 5,000mAh battery. As stated above, the lineup is rumoured to include four models with the Galaxy M40 being the most-premium, and Galaxy M10 the most affordable. The phones will reportedly employ Samsung Exynos 7000-series SoC under the hood paired with minimum 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage configuration.
That’s all we know so far! We expect to know more about the handsets as we inch closer to the launch date, so keep watching the space.
