There have been plenty of rumours about Samsung’s upcoming ‘M’ series smartphones. Over the past several weeks, there have been leaked images and reports that suggest three M series phones from Samsung. These new ‘M’ Series phones will be budget offerings from the company and could replace other budget series devices such as Galaxy J and Galaxy A. Now, it seems that Samsung is gearing up to launch the new ‘M’ series smartphones in India in January 2019.
The IANS received reliable intel from industry sources and dealers stating that Samsung India will be launching three new smartphones carrying the ‘M’ moniker. According to sources, these devices would be launched first in India, which suggests that Samsung is aiming this new series at developing markets. The sources also mentioned that these devices would include industry first features.
We already know what the three smartphones would be called, as the devices have all popped up on various certifications sites online. Samsung will launch the Galaxy M30, Galaxy M20, and the Galaxy M10 in the country. The M30 and M20 have been reported to sport the Exynos 7885 chipset, while the M10 could feature an Exynos 7870 processor. The Galaxy M30 also showed up on Geekbench recently, revealing some of its specifications. It will most likely feature 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, large 5000mAh battery and an Infinity-U display.
Not a lot of details are known about these devices yet, but we will not have to wait much longer to find out. The New Year 2019 is just around the corner and Samsung India should soon start sending out invites for the launch of these phones. Samsung is facing tough competition from Xiaomi in the country and is therefore launching new models to improve sales. The Galaxy M10 would be the cheapest of the three new devices and start at around Rs 10,000.
