Samsung Galaxy M10, M20, M30 Android Pie update to roll out from June 3rd

“The Galaxy M series smartphones currently boot Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top”

Samsung has announced that it will start rolling out the Android Pie update for the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 in India soon. The update’s rollout will kick off in the country from June 3rd. All three handsets were released earlier this year running Android 8.1 Oreo with the Samsung Experience user interface on top.

Samsung has announced that the Android Pie update for the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 will bring “important improvements” and the latest security patches. Unfortunately, the brand hasn’t yet revealed the complete changelog for the new firmware for these devices at the moment. However, we can expect the update to bring new features such as Digital Wellbeing, adaptive battery, new navigation gestures, and more.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy M10 is a budget offering with a 6.22-inch HD+ display, and is powered by an Exynos 7870 processor. The handset features a dual 13MP + 5MP primary camera setup at the rear, and a 5MP selfie snapper. The device supports microSD cards up to 512GB in size. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,400mAh battery. The phone comes in two RAM and storage variants – 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB. The former is priced at Rs 7,990, while the latter is available for Rs 8,990.

As for the Galaxy M20, the phone packs a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display. Powering the handset is an octa-core Exynos 7904 chipset, aided by a beefy 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. For selfies, the phone has an 8MP sensor, while its rear cameras remain the same as the Galaxy M10. This one comes in 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB variants, which cost Rs 10,990 and Rs 12,990 respectively.

Lastly, the Galaxy M30 is the most high-end offering of the trio. The phone ships with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED full-HD+ display and an Exynos 7904 chipset. At the rear, the handset has three cameras – a 13MP sensor and a pair of 5MP snappers. On the front, there’s a 16MP shooter for selfies. Just like the Galaxy M20, the M30 also gets a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support. As for the price, Galaxy M30 base 4GB RAM variant costs Rs 14,990, while the higher-end 6GB RAM model sets you back by Rs 17,990.
