Samsung Galaxy M20 will reportedly come with a beefy 5,000mAh battery and Infinity U display

“The Galaxy M20 is expected to be the upcoming affordable smartphone from Samsung”

Samsung has allegedly been working to revamp its budget and mid-range portfolio with a new Galaxy M series smartphone. The Galaxy M20 is expected to be the first offering of the series, is reportedly in production at the moment, and has been in and out of the rumour mill for the past few weeks. Most recently, a Galaxy M20 case was leaked, revealing dual rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Now, the battery capacity of the Galaxy M20 has surfaced online, and is claimed to be the biggest battery yet on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

As reported AllAboutSamsung, the Galaxy M20 will house a beefy 5,000mAh battery. That’s not the kind of capacity we’re used to seeing on Samsung devices. If it indeed comes to pass, it will be the first time Samsung will be using such a huge battery cell in a smartphone. Apart from this, it has also been reported that the phone will come with an Infinity U display, which means it’ll have a more pronounced curve than the one we have seen on ‘waterdrop’ or ‘Halo’ notch designs. An image (above) we leaked exclusively a couple of weeks ago showed the smartphone with a waterdrop notch.

Moving on, the Galaxy M20 is expected to feature an 8-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies, while the rear cameras are likely to sport 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel snappers with LED flash. The performance of Galaxy M20 will reportedly be taken care by Exynos 7885 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Powering the device could be the Android 8.1 Oreo-based Samsung’s custom Experience UI out of the box. Other leaked features include a USB Type-C port, a tiny hole for the mic and speaker grill along with the headphone jack at the bottom edge.

Samsung is yet to confirm if and when it’s planning to launch the Galaxy M20 in India. As for the price, the handset is expected to cost around Rs 15,000 in the country.
