“The Galaxy M20 is rumoured to be Samsung’s first smartphone with a massive 5,000mAh battery”
Several reports in the past have indicated that Samsung is planning to introduce its new M series of smartphones soon. The brand is expected to debut this series with the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 handsets. Ahead of the unveiling, we’ve already seen a number of leaks and reports regarding the upcoming Galaxy M series smartphones. Most recently, the alleged Galaxy M10 was certified by Wi-Fi Alliance. Now, the Galaxy M20 has also received the same certification.
The purported Samsung Galaxy M20 has received certification from Wi-Fi Alliance under the model number SM-M205F. The certification suggests that the phone will offer support for single-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, and boot Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Notably, the alleged Galaxy M10, which was also certified by the same regulatory authority is also expected to come with Android 8.1 Oreo and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity option. Unfortunately, the certification hasn’t revealed any other details about the Galaxy M20 at the moment.
Recently, 91mobiles exclusively revealed the first live images of the Samsung Galaxy M20. The photos suggest that the Galaxy M20 could be the brand’s first smartphone with a waterdrop notch above the screen. The images also indicated that the phone will offer dual primary cameras, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Notably, recent reports have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy M20 could be the South Korean tech giant’s first smartphone to flaunt a massive 5,000mAh battery. The phone is said to offer an Exynos 7885 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and a couple of storage variants. At the rear, the device is tipped to feature a 13-megapixel primary shooter at the rear, aided by a 5-megapixel secondary snapper. On the front, the handset is expected to offer an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
We earlier reported that the Samsung Galaxy M series phones will be priced aggressively. The Galaxy M10 will be available starting at Rs 10,000, while the Galaxy M20 could set you back by around Rs 15,000. We will have more details regarding these phones in early 2019, when the brand is expected to launch them.
