Samsung has refreshed its newly founded Galaxy M series with the launch of Galaxy M30 smartphone in India. The Galaxy M30 handset has been positioned above the Galaxy M20 (review) and Galaxy M10 (review), which were launched last month in the country. The smartphone is the only one in the affordable segment with a triple camera setup on the back. Notably, the chipset, battery, software, connectivity, and security options on Galaxy M30 are the same as that of the Galaxy M20.

The Samsung Galaxy M30 price in India for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is Rs 14,990, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option will set you back by Rs 17,990. Both the options will come in gradient Black and Blue colours. Interested buyers can purchase the handset from Amazon.in and Samsung Shop platforms starting 12pm on March 7th. As for the launch offers, Jio users will get benefits worth Rs 3,110 on recharges of Rs 198 and Rs 299.

Starting with its major highlight, the Galaxy M30 ships with triple rear cameras that comprises 13-megapixel (f/1.9) primary shooter paired with 5-megapixel depth sensor and another 5-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. The front camera of the phone boast of a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The cameras are backed by AR stickers and modes such as Live Focus, Panorama, and Beauty.

The Galaxy M30 sports the same Infinity U display that has a slight cut-out up as seen on Galaxy M10 and M20. The screen size is 6.4-inch with Super AMOLED panel, 19:9 aspect ratio, and Full HD+ (1,080 x 2,280 pixels) resolution. At its heart lies octa-core Exynos 7904 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 512GB via dedicated microSD card slot.

The phone boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based Samsung’s custom Experience 9.5 UI out of the box. Powering the device is a whopping 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast wireless charging support. For security, it offers a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and in terms of connectivity, you get USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, and GPS/ GLONASS.
