“The new Galaxy M30 model is said to have improved camera specs and boot Android 9 Pie out of the box”
Earlier this year in February, Samsung launched the Galaxy M30 smartphone in the Indian market. Now, a new report claims the South Korean giant is working on a slightly upgraded variant of the handset. According to a report by SamMobile, the new model is under development with the codename SM-M307F. Notably, the same publication recently reported that the brand is working on new variants of the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70 smartphones as well.
The report suggests that the new Galaxy M30 could sit below the Galaxy M40, which was launched in India recently, in Samsung’s portfolio. While the exact specs of the phone are not clear, the report speculates that the new variant of the handset could come with improved camera features and boot Android 9 Pie out of the box with One UI 1.1. Lastly, it suggests that the new Galaxy M30 will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants, just like the higher-end variant of the current-gen model. No other details are unknown at the moment.
As for the Galaxy M30, the phone arrived as a mid-range offering with an Infinity-U display and triple rear cameras. The handset offers a 6.4-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display and boots the dated Android 8.1 Oreo. The device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7904 processor. The phone comes in two RAM and storage variants – 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. For security, the handset is equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Talking about the cameras, the Galaxy M30 a 13MP primary snapper at the rear, accompanied by two additional 5MP shooters. To capture the selfies and make video calls, you get a single 16MP snapper on the front. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and GPS with GLONASS. A massive 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support complete the list of the specs.
The Galaxy M30 price in India for the 4GB RAM variant is Rs 14,990, while the higher-end 6GB RAM model sets you back by Rs 17,990. The phone is being offered in black and blue colour variants.
