“The Galaxy M30s is likely to come with the triple camera setup, a beefy battery, and an octa-core Exynos 9610 SoC”
Samsung Galaxy M30s smartphone has been in leaks and rumours so much that its release seems just around the corner. Now, IANS claims that the Galaxy M30s launch is scheduled for mid-September in India, citing industry sources. The report further adds that the upcoming affordable handset will pack a 48-megapixel triple rear camera setup. The Galaxy M30s is tipped to be powered by the new Exynos processor — not seen on the four Galaxy M series smartphones launched so far, and sport a beefy battery. “Samsung has gone for industry-leading battery capacity for the new smartphone. Galaxy M30s will also support fast charging,” sources told IANS.
The successor to the Galaxy M30 smartphone will be up against the likes of Redmi K20, Mi A3, and Realme 5 Pro – all latest rival devices with a 48-megapixel rear camera system. The Galaxy M30s price in India will most likely be around Rs 15,000.
Samsung Galaxy M30s specifications
Unfortunately, the report hasn’t revealed the exact specifications of the Galaxy M30s. However, going by the previous leaks and rumours, the handset could pack an Exynos 9610 chipset under the hood. In comparison, the Galaxy M30 was powered by an Exynos 7904 chipset. The phonemaker is likely to ship the phone in at least two RAM and storage configurations: 4GB + 64GB and 6GB +128GB. Apart from this, the Galaxy M30s is expected to retain the polycarbonate back with a glossy finish from its predecessor, but sport an Infinity-V display instead of Samsung’s Infinity-U.
The handset is expected to be available in Black, Blue, and White colour options and could be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery, with 15W/18W fast charge support and Type-C charging support as well. For security, the smartphone is likely to have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
