Samsung Galaxy M30s processor, RAM, and display resolution revealed

The Samsung Galaxy M30s smartphone, which is expected to launch next month in India, has surfaced on Google Play Console listing. The listing reveals the screen resolution, software version, RAM, and chipset details of the Samsung Galaxy M30s. As per that, the handset will be powered by an unannounced Samsung Exynos 9611 SoC. This is against previous leaks and rumours, which confirms the Exynos 9610 mobile platform ticking at the handset’s core. Furthermore, the Galaxy M30s would come with 4GB of RAM, 1,080 x 2,340 pixels screen resolution, and Android 9 Pie software running out of the box.

Since this is the first time Exynos 9611 SoC is making the headline, we’re not sure of its specifications. However, listing mentions it will have eight core with 4 x Cortex-A73 cores and 4 x Cortex-A53 cores. The mobile platform is said to be backed by ARM Mali G72 GPU for graphics. That’s all the information we can divulge at the moment. The Google Play Console listing, meanwhile, has a dicey track-record in terms of leaks, so we’d advise you to take it with a pinch of salt.

Going by the previous leaks and rumours, the Samsung Galaxy M30s is tipped to be an affordable mid-range offering. The handset is likely to sport triple rear cameras with a 48-megapixel main sensor and a beefy 6,000mAh battery. The successor to Galaxy M30 is also expected to feature a 6.4-inch Infinity-U display, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. Lastly, the phone may feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face recognition for security.

Samsung is yet to confirm if and when it’s planning to launch the Galaxy M30s, but rumours are it could be mid-September. The handset is expected to be priced in India around Rs 15,000.
