Samsung Galaxy M40 is receiving the Android 11 based One UI 3.1 update in India. The handset was launched back in 2019 with Android 9.0 and had received the Android 10 update back in March 2020. The new Android 11 update is the second major software update for the device. The latest firmware has version number M405FDDU2CUC6 and is 2GB in size. It brings the March 2021 Android security patch, redesigned UI, performance improvement that will help apps run quicker while consuming less battery, chat bubbles, a newer Samsung keyboard, better privacy, enhanced dark mode, one-time permissions.
The Android 11 update for Samsung Galaxy M40 is currently rolling out in India and since it just started rolling out, might take 2-3 days before it reaches everyone.
