Samsung Galaxy M40 reportedly coming to India, tipped to be priced around Rs 25,000

Our previous report that Samsung’s upcoming smartphone in India could be Galaxy M40 might soon be true. The handset is expected to be the most powerful smartphone in the series that includes Galaxy M10, M20, and M30 smartphones. Outlook India has not only backed us by saying that the chaebol is likely to launch the much-awaited Galaxy M40 smartphone but also claims it’ll have a punch-hole display, which Samsung likes to call Infinity-O display.

Moreover, the report adds that #OMG campaign that Samsung has launched is linked with Galaxy M40 smartphone. The handset is tipped to come with some flagship features, including the edge-to-edge screen with a circular cut-out that will house the selfie camera. Other than that, the handset will feature “a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a triple camera system,” industry sources told Outlook India. Speculations are that the phone may also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Lastly, the Galaxy M40 is said to be priced at Rs 25,000 in India, which will make it the most expensive M series smartphone in the country. The Galaxy M30, to recall, was announced in February at a starting price of Rs 14,990 for the base 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage that goes up to Rs 17,990 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 were launched in January 2019 at a starting price of Rs 8,990. All these three smartphones are available for sale across the country via e-commerce platforms.
