“The Samsung Galaxy M40 is expected to be a mid-range offering with a Snapdragon 675 processor”
Earlier this year, Samsung introduced its brand new Galaxy M series smartphones and launched three models called the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 in India. Now, the South Korean tech giant is planning to release yet another handset under the new series. Called the Samsung Galaxy M40, the new device will reportedly be launched in the country on June 11th. YouTuber Technical Guruji has also revealed a few details about the Galaxy M40’s design and features.
The YouTuber has given us a glimpse of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M40. The hands-on video suggests that the phone will arrive with an Infinity-O display with a punch-hole design, which is currently available on the latest Galaxy S series flagships as well as some A series models. At the rear, the smartphone will feature a three camera sensors, placed vertically, and a fingerprint sensor towards the middle of the back panel.
The source suggests that the Samsung Galaxy M40 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, aided by Adreno 612 graphics. Sadly, no other details about the handset have been revealed in the video. However, earlier reports indicate that the phone could come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and boot Android 9 Pie out of the box with Samsung’s One UI on top.
According to the YouTube video, the Samsung Galaxy M40 should be priced around Rs 20,000. An IANS report earlier this month claimed the handset would cost around Rs 25,000, so we will have to wait for the June 11 launch event to see which variants these prices correspond to. Its predecessor, the Galaxy M30, which comes with an Infinity-U display and triple rear cameras, is currently retailing for Rs 14,990 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs 17,990 for the 6GB RAM model. We will have more details in a matter of weeks, so stay tuned for regular updates.
