“The Galaxy Note 10’s India launch has been set for August 20th, and the phone will go on sale on August 22nd”
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series sales will be similar to the Galaxy Note 9 this year, a new report has predicted. According to Yonhap news agency, the industry tracker Counterpoint Research projects that the combined sales of the Galaxy Note 10 series will reach 9.7 million units this year. This will be slightly higher than 9.6 million units posted by the Galaxy Note 9 last year. The 9.7 million sales figure for the upcoming Galaxy Note flagship will be marginally below the 10 million units posted by the Galaxy Note 8 in 2017, suggests the report. The latest report has arrived just a day before the unveiling of the next-gen Galaxy Note.
The source suggests that the success of the Galaxy Note 10 is very crucial for the South Korean tech giant as the brand suffered a slump in the mobile business in the second quarter of this year. The mobile division of the company saw its second-quarter operating profit to drop 41.6 percent year-on-year. This is because the Galaxy S10 series isn’t performing as good as the brand had expected. The report also mentions that Samsung may face issues in promoting the new Galaxy Note due to the increase in the smartphone replacement cycle. The source also expects that some consumers will wait until the launch of the Galaxy Fold in September.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series will be unveiled at an event in New York tomorrow. According to our sources, the Galaxy Note 10 India launch has been set for August 20th. The smartphone will go on sale globally including India on August 22nd, not on August 23rd as suggested by the reports earlier. The company is expected to introduce as many as four new models in the series – the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ with 4G, alongside their 5G models. Since the 5G network isn’t available in India, we don’t expect the brand to launch the 5G models in the country, at least this year.
