Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 will be launching later this year and a new report now seems to have information regarding the exact launch date. As per a report out of South Korea, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 launch date will be August 5th. This sounds about right as Samsung typically announces its Note flagship in early August. With the coronavirus pandemic ongoing, it is unlikely that the company will hold a physical launch event.

As per the report, Samsung will be holding an online launch event for the Galaxy Note 20 series and the Galaxy Fold 2. “As COVID-19 is still spreading and anti-racism protests are worsening in the US, this year’s event is likely to be held online,” said an electronics industry source to the South Korean news outlet.

Samsung will seemingly launch two models under the Galaxy Note 20 series. One will be a 6.7-inch regular model, while the other will be a bigger 6.9-inch model. The latter will likely be called the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which suggests Samsung will be dropping the ‘Plus’ moniker from the lineup this time.

That being said, popular Samsung tipster Ice Universe recently revealed some camera details about the Galaxy Note 20+ model. The phone is said to come with a 108MP HM1 sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens that will support up to 50x zoom and a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens. The Galaxy Note 20 design is likely to look similar to the Note 10 and will continue to support the S Pen.

As for the Galaxy Fold 2, the foldable phone is also said to come with a similar form factor as the original fold. However, the cover display will be bigger this time around to offer a bezel-less experience. We expect Samsung to announce the official launch date for the Galaxy Note 20 series and Galaxy Fold 2 by July.
