Samsung Galaxy Note 9 page goes live on Flipkart, official launch on August 9th

Samsung is all set to launch a new smartphone under its Note series dubbed as the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9th in New York. The handset will succeed the Galaxy Note 8 (review), which was announced last year following the Note 7 fiasco. Today, the company has announced Flipkart as its online retail partner, possibly for the Galaxy Note 9, across India.

The teaser page with ‘Samsung Galaxy Unpacked’ title is up on the e-tailer site along with the S Pen’s render. There are also a few videos listed on the page, which suggest that the next-gen Note 9 could come with bigger than ever memory, storage, and battery backup. The listing doesn’t reveal anything of substance about the phone, except for the launch date. However, previous rumours have given us account on a few areas.

Galaxy Note 9 - featured

The Galaxy Note 9 is expected to feature a 6.4-inch 18.5:9 aspect ratio Infinity QHD+ display. It is being expected to have Snapdragon 845/ Exynos 9810 SoC ticking at its core, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage space. For shutterbugs, the Note 9 is tipped to sport dual 12MP snappers on the rear with Galaxy S9-like variable dual aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures, respectively. The device is likely to pack a 4,000mAh battery and an advanced S-Pen stylus.

There is no word on the pricing details of the Note 9 as of now, but we wouldn’t have to wait long. We will bring you more info on August 9th when the smartphone goes official.
