Samsung Galaxy S10 5G goes on sale in the US on June 17th as AT&T cancels Galaxy Fold pre-orders

“The Galaxy S10 5G will only be available to Business customers and 5G developers at first”

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will soon be available for purchase in the United States via AT&T. The carrier has announced that it will be starting Galaxy S10 5G sales on June 17th. However, the phone will only be sold to AT&T Business customers and through its developer program. This means, that regular customers will not be able to buy the phone just yet. AT&T has just started its 5G service in the country and probably doesn’t want to make it available to everyone before proper testing. The carrier did not provide any information on when it would start public sales of the phone.

As of now, AT&T’s 5G+ network is only available in 19 cities around the country, and only in certain parts of those cities. The customers who purchase the phone will have to use the Business Unlimited Preferred Plan, which uses the 5G network. If you’re a Business customer or a 5G developer, then you will be able to purchase the Galaxy S10 5G for $1,000. This is for the 256GB variant of the phone and users can also opt for the Business Unlimited Preferred plan, which activates a monthly fee of $90, instead of paying the full amount.

The Galaxy S10 5G comes with a quad-camera setup at the back, a large 6.7-inch QHD+ display, Snapdragon 855 chipset, 5G support, dual-front cameras, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.

Samsung Galaxy Fold AT&T has also started to cancel pre-orders for the Galaxy Fold foldable smartphone. The company has sent out emails to those who pre-ordered the Galaxy Fold stating the reason for cancellation — since Samsung wasn’t able to launch the phone on time, the carrier is cancelling all orders. Samsung hasn’t announced a new release date yet, but folks can pre-order again when the Galaxy Fold becomes available. All funds would be refunded to the customer and any funds that were held would be released. AT&T has also included a $100 promotion card as an apology. This card would be delivered to the customer within 60 days.
