“The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has been codenamed Beyond X and will come with a 6.7-inch display, four cameras on the back, and dual front cameras“
Samsung has been in the news a lot lately thanks to the rumours and speculations surrounding its Galaxy S10 trio, the foldable smartphone and the display notches showcased at this year’s Annual Developer’s conference. Now, a new report has emerged, which hints that apart from the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy S10 Lite, Samsung will also launch a 10th Anniversary special edition smartphone next year. This model will be the Galaxy S10 5G variant and said to come with as many as six cameras.
Marking the 10th anniversary of the company’s Galaxy S range, this 5G model is being developed under the codename Beyond X, a Wall Street Journal report claims. It’s being speculated that the model will be a super-premium smartphone, along the lines of iPhone XS Max and will come with a loaded spec sheet. The report suggests it will have one of the display notches showcased by the brand and a 6.7-inch screen. Further, the smartphone is tipped to come with six cameras in tow – dual selfie camera module and quad cameras on the rear panel. Unfortunately, not much else is known about Beyond X as of now.
To recap on the Galaxy S10 lineup, the base variant called Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 are likely to come with a 5.8-inch display, while the Galaxy S10 Plus will feature a 6.3-inch panel. The lineup is rumoured to come the Infinity O display with a hole to house the selfie camera and sensors. The speculations also suggest Snapdragon 845 or Snapdragon 8150 SoC and three variants (4GB + 64GB, 6GB RAM + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB). Further, the upcoming flagships are rumoured to come with either an in-display fingerprint scanner or side-mounted sensor. The prices are said to be between $650 and $750 (roughly between Rs 46,500 and Rs 53,500). A recent leak has also revealed that the lineup will be offered in Black, Yellow, Green, and White hues.
As of now, there is no word on the pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. It is said that the company will unveil the Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10 Plus models in February next year, while the Galaxy S10 5G and the Galaxy F foldable phone will be showcased in March.
