“The UK telecom operator has put up a pre-registration page for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 series on its website”
Samsung’s upcoming flagship lineup, including Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10 5G variant, have been in the news quite a lot lately. The South Korean handset maker is expected to launch these flagships at the Mobile World’s Congress to be held in Barcelona in February 2019. Now, ahead of the official launch of the flagship line-up, a new teaser launch has been spotted on the internet.
UK-based telecom operator EE has put up a pre-registration page of the upcoming Galaxy S10 series on its website with a teaser image. While the landing page doesn’t explicitly mention the Galaxy S10, it’s being speculated that the page is for the same. Further, the pre-registration page on the website doesn’t reveal much, but we can see the silhouette of the phone in the image (pictured above). The smartphone seen in the tease can be seen with an impressive display and no bezels or notch, which is in line with the rumours of punch-hole screen. The purpose of the pre-registration page is to inform users when more information are available.
To recap, the Galaxy S10 will reportedly sport Samsung’s latest Infinity O display with an edge-to-edge screen with a hole at the top-right corner to house a selfie camera. It is expected that the smartphone will feature a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and will be powered by Snapdragon 855/ Exynos 9820 chipset. The processor is expected to be accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 512GB expandable storage. Other rumoured features of the flagship include triple rear camera setup, Android Pie-based One UI and an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, the Galaxy S10 Lite is said to miss out on the in-display fingerprint sensor.
As for the launch date of the handset, earlier leaks have suggested that the chaebol might announce the line-up on February 20th. It’s also speculated that the pricing of the Galaxy S10 variant will start at Rs about 65,000 for the base variant. However, we suggest taking this bit of information with a pinch of salt.
