“The Samsung Galaxy S10+ will be the most expensive flagship Galaxy smartphone so far”
Samsung’s next-gen Galaxy S flagship smartphones are just around a month away from being unveiled. The company has already sent out invites for the event and the date is set, and unsurprisingly, the number of leaks have also increased. Last week, we saw the Galaxy S10+ being used in the wild with a case. Now, there’s another new leaked photo circulating the internet, which also shows the phone in real life.
The Galaxy S10+ will be the top of the line model in the upcoming Galaxy S series and is expected to cost upwards of $1,000 (about Rs 60,000). As per rumours, one of the variants will come with 12GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Of course, there will be a 5G variant as well, which would be even more expensive. The Galaxy S10 Plus, which may be called Galaxy S10 Pro, would have the largest screen and battery capacity, along with a dual-selfie camera placed inside a cutout and a triple-rear camera setup. That’s another new design aspect of the upcoming Galaxy S10 phones, the hole in the display.
We have already seen several renders of the phones and all of them feature the Infinity-O display. In the leaked image above, you can clearly see the pill-shaped cutout on the top right corner of the screen. It is housing two cameras and will mostly take on the dual-selfie cameras on the Google Pixel 3. The image was posted on Twitter by IceUniverse and shows a case being used on the phone. You cannot, however, see the display as it is turned off. The previous leaked image also featured a case, which is meant to hide the exact design of the phone.
The Galaxy S10 phones are going to feature very thin bezels with a no-notch design. The S10+ will supposedly have a large 6.4-inch QHD+ display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset, but will be similar in size to the Galaxy Note 9. It will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 4,000mAh battery. Samsung will be announcing the new Galaxy S10 series at an event in San Francisco scheduled for February 20th.
