“The Galaxy S10 price is said to start at £669 (~Rs 55,000) for the Galaxy S10 Lite and go up to £1,399 (~Rs 1,14,000) for the Galaxy S10+“
Samsung’s much-anticipated Galaxy S10 smartphones will reportedly be launched at a special Unpacked event a week before MWC 2019. According to a new report, the Galaxy S10 series will be launched on February 20th at an Unpacked event Samsung will be hosting. This will be a break from tradition for Samsung, which has hosted the launch of the Galaxy S series phones just before MWC for the past few years.
According to a Gizmodo UK report, citing a retailer as the source, the chaebol will unveil the Galaxy S10 series smartphones on February 20th and start taking pre-orders the same day. This will be followed by the smartphones going on sale on March 8th, the report claims. To recall, the Galaxy S9 (review) was unveiled earlier this year on February 25th, and MWC 2018 kickstarted on February 26th.
As for the Galaxy S10 series price, the rumoured Galaxy S10 Lite with 5.8-inch will reportedly to cost £669 (~Rs 55,000) for the base 128GB storage option, while its sibling the Galaxy S10 with 128GB and 512GB storage will set you back to £799 (~Rs 65,000) and £999 (~Rs 81,000) respectively.
As for the top-end model, the Galaxy S10+ prices will reportedly start from £899 (~Rs 73,000) that goes up to £1,399 (~Rs 1,14,000). The handset is speculated to come in three storage variants: 128GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with the middle one costing around a thousand pounds. It’s unclear if the 1TB variant is the 5G model of Galaxy S10 that’s also rumoured to feature six cameras. The source claims that it’ll arrive late Q2 2019. Notably, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will sport 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch displays, respectively.
In related news, Samsung is expected to release the in-house accessories for Galaxy S10 series smartphones. The South Korean maker has been doing this for its every flagship offering and next year won’t be any different. The list will reportedly include accessories such as the Silicone, S-View Flip, and LED Wallet covers.
Talking about the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S10 series models, they are likely to employ either Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 SoC under the hood. The phones will have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and up to four rear cameras and dual selfie cameras. The devices are also expected to come with several design changes, and the most notable will be their display (Infinity O most likely) and ultra-thin bezels.
