“The premium model will reportedly be called Galaxy S10 Pro, not Galaxy S10 Plus”
Samsung has been launching its premium Galaxy S series model with ‘Plus’ moniker for the last two years. All that may change with the upcoming Galaxy S10 lineup that is slated to launch on February 20th. A tipster claims that the biggest Galaxy S10 model could actually be called Galaxy S10 Pro instead of Galaxy S10 Plus. The handset will apparently be the most premium device in the Galaxy S10 series at the February 20th event. It is rumoured to have a 6.4-inch display, triple rear cameras, dual front cameras, and up to 12GB + 1TB configuration.
The Galaxy S10 Plus – which might be called S10 Pro as I heard – Ceramic version will only be available in a black metallic finish. The ceramic version will be a special edition priced at around 1600€ as I heard from a yet unconfirmed source. pic.twitter.com/iUzC7tAibL— Max J. (@Samsung_News_) January 22, 2019
It has been further claimed that Galaxy S10 Pro ceramic version will only be available in a Black metallic finish, and the variant with a whopping 12GB RAM and 1TB will reportedly set you back to €1,600 (~Rs 1,30,000). Interestingly, the tipster also revealed the entry-level Galaxy S10 Lite or S10E model will cost €779 (~Rs 63,000), which is the same as yesterday’s leaked European pricing.
However, according to him, the regular Galaxy S10 and larger Galaxy S10 Pro will retail for €999 (~Rs 80,000) and €1,199 (~Rs 97,000) in most European markets, much higher than yesterday’s leak. If you haven’t been following 10th anniversary Galaxy S series, you can read it all here.
Meanwhile, Samsung has reportedly lined up new Android-powered tablets, smartwatches, and other accessories to be introduced shortly. According to TuttoAndroid, the chaebol could unveil the offerings either alongside Galaxy S10 or at upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona, Spain.
“The (Samsung) tablets could come in five models/ variants labeled as SM-T515, SM-T720 / 725 and SM-P200 / 205, while the smartwatch could be the alleged Galaxy Fit, dedicated to sports and may come in three variants (SM-R370, SM-R375, and SM-R500),” the report adds.
