“Samsung Galaxy S11 Plus will come with at least four rear cameras that will include a main camera, wide-angle lens and periscope lens”
Samsung Galaxy S11 series is expected to launch on February 18th ahead of MWC 2020, but as we inch closer, new details regarding the flagship phones keep surfacing the internet. We’ve already come across the renders of the Galaxy S11e and Galaxy S11 Plus showing the design in their entire glory. Now, a new image posted by tipster Ice Universe shows the rear camera setup of the Galaxy S11 Plus clearly, revealing a clean alignment of sensors that will include a main camera, wide-angle lens and periscope lens. Additionally, the rectangular camera module will include an LED flash and 3D ToF camera.
This is the real Galaxy S11+ camera. On the left is the ultra-wide-angle, main camera, and periscope zoom lens. I don’t know the exact distribution on the right. It is expected to include flash and ToF. pic.twitter.com/98exPMSqgf— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) December 16, 2019
Since the ToF cameras usually have a transmitter module and a received module, it could be a reason for assuming the Galaxy S11 Plus would have a quad-camera setup at the back. One cutout is square-shaped suggesting a periscope lens. It has been rumoured in the past that the Galaxy S11 will come with 5x optical zoom.
Samsung Galaxy S11 is expected to come with significantly improve camera performance and specifications over its predecessor, Galaxy S10. It is rumoured to include a new 108MP primary lens and a telephoto lens with a 5x zoom capabilities. Other rumoured specifications include a Snapdragon 865 SoC or Exynos 990 with 5G support, Android 10 with One UI 2 custom skin and slightly bigger batteries. The Samsung Galaxy S11e reportedly sport a 6.3-inch/6.4-inch screen, while the Galaxy S11 and S11 Plus might feature a 6.7 and 6.9-inch screens with a 120Hz refresh rate, respectively.
