- Samsung Galaxy S21 FE production has not been halted yet.
- The company confirmed this after reports of the mid-range flagship being cancelled.
- The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is expected to launch in August.
There’s a chip shortage across the globe that is affecting phone makers and their production. South Korea’s Electronic Times reported on Sunday that Samsung suspended the production of the less expensive version of the Galaxy S21 aka the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE due to a shortage of Qualcomm’s application processors. Hours after the report, however, Samsung responded and said that nothing has been determined regarding the production suspension. “While we cannot discuss details of the unreleased product, nothing has been determined regarding the alleged production suspension,” a Samsung spokesperson told Bloomberg.
So, while the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launch has not been cancelled yet, we are probably looking at a delayed release. The smartphone was earlier expected to launch in August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

It may have a 10MP lens in the punch-hole cutout and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The phone will be available in White, Light Violet, Light Green, and Gray colour options.
