A new report has surfaced that claims that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series launch has been scheduled for February 9th. Recently, a report from South Korea had stated that Samsung would be launching the new Galaxy S22 smartphones on February 8th. It was also reported that the company would start pre-orders on February 9th with deliveries starting on February 21st. Now, Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed any of this, which means that either or neither of these reports could turn out to be right.

Samsung Galaxy S22 launch date

The latest report comes courtesy of prominent tipster IceUniverse, who has a good track record when it comes to Samsung product launches. It is possible that the February 9th launch date is for China only, whereas a global launch could happen on the 8th. The leaker took to Weibo to make his statement, and also said that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Tab S8 series alongside the phones. We should find out more in the coming weeks, and we also expect Samsung to make an official announcement about the Galaxy S22 launch date. 

Samsung will host an Unpacked event, as usual, to announce the latest Galaxy S22 series of smartphones. This years Galaxy S22 lineup will consist of three phones, i.e, the vanilla Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra The Ultra variant will be the most powerful of the lot and is said to replace the Galaxy Note lineup. It’ll feature a built-in S-Pen that’ll essentially make it a Note device. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the first S flagship from the company to feature an S-Pen. 

The Galaxy S22 series has been leaked plenty, and we’ve also seen renders that show us what the phones would look like. Most recently, 91mobiles exclusively shared renders of the Galaxy S22+, which will feature a vertical triple rear camera setup, the new Exynos 2200 processor, and a 4,500mAh battery. The Ultra variant will get an LTPO display, 5,000mAh battery, 108-megapixel SuperClear lens, and S-Pen support.
